Who We Are

A Tradition of Service & Courage

The Netcong Fire Department has been a cornerstone of public safety in our community for more than a century. Founded in 1892, we are a volunteer fire department committed to protecting the residents, businesses, and properties of Netcong and the surrounding area.

Our department is made up of dedicated volunteers — neighbors, friends, and families — who answer the call whenever emergencies arise. From structure fires and vehicle accidents to medical responses and hazardous material incidents, our trained personnel are prepared to serve around the clock, every day of the year.

Beyond emergency response, we are deeply invested in community education, fire prevention, and building the kind of trust that comes from showing up — year after year — for the people who need us most.

We believe that the strongest fire department is one deeply woven into the fabric of the community it serves. That is why we invest in outreach, education, and relationships — because prevention saves lives just as surely as any rescue.
